Recovery and healing are within us.
This is your journey, this is your yoga.

The beauty of Yoga Therapy is that it doesn’t fit into the confines of a constructed yoga class.

About Chelsea

My name is Chelsea. I first entered a yoga studio 11 years because my life had become unmanageable with anxiety, trauma, and suicide attempts. I was emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically broken. The physical pain was tangible, it made sense to me, and it was nothing compared to the emotional pain I carried deep within. After a PTSD diagnosis in 2011, I was finally able to put words to what I was feeling, and begin a journey of recovery.

What Is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy is a process of empowerment, merging of Western medical and psychological knowledge with Eastern yoga practices and philosophy. Yoga therapy utilizes physiological postures, fascial release, breath work, and meditation to help individuals facing health challenges at any level manage their condition, reduce symptoms, restore balance, increase vitality and energy, improve sleep quality, and improve mindset.

Online Classes and Private Sessions

I offer private sessions via zoom, messenger, or skype. After initial intake and assessment utilizing the Integrated Systems Model (ISM), I will design a program tailored to your needs and goals. We will work towards identifying the root cause of the problem and working up from there, allowing for long term healing and recovery. Live online classes are also available, with the next series beginning June 15th, 2021.

Private Yoga Therapy sessions are available in Campbell River,
the Comox Valley, Pacific Rim and Port Alberni.

COVID Update

With the exception of First Nations communities, the implementation of the Vaccine Passport is both discriminatory and a clear violation of human rights. I stand by my conviction that power of choice over one's health and wellness is a basic human right, protected by International and Constitutional Law. As such, I will continue to offer therapy to all, regardless of vaccination status, creed, religion, race, gender, or sexual orientation. Chelsea Cleeton Yoga Therapy will also continue to support businesses and practices that do not engage in discrimination in the hope we can live in a culture that supports the power of choice over one's own body.
